Penang, February 24, 2011 —- Ledzworld Technology, an innovative R&D and manufacturing company of high-end LED retro-fit lamps for professional users, launches its new LED retrofit MR16 , a low power-consumption 6.5W LED lamp that produces an industry – leading high output of 450 Lumen. The lamp has an efficacy of >70 Lumen/W at a colour temperature of 3000K.

Just 2 days after Cree made its first official media announcement of a new lighting class LED designed for high-output small form factor directional lighting, Ledzworld launches the first lamp that integrates the latest Cree multi-die MT-G LED with its own superior thermal design and driver- technology.

Ledzworld’s MR16 -6.5W Cree MT-G is one of the first full replacements of a traditional 50W halogen lamp.

Samples are available in March and production volumes are available with standard lead-times from April onwards.

The prestigious international architectural lighting magazine mondo * arc has awarded the colour-changing LED bulb of Ledzworld as one of the top 10 best new LED products for 2010.

Ledzworld takes pride in being recognized as a young innovative company by the world’s well known lighting experts. The same product has also won the LFI innovation award during the Las Vegas International Lighting Fair, held in May 2010.

“Colour Temperature Adjusted (CTA) dimming” which regulates the lamp not only to adjust the light output strength while being dimmed, but also gradually transform from a bright soft tone colour temperature at the highest level, to a warm flame colour at the lowest dimming level. Due to these new dimming possibilities users can choose the specific atmosphere they would like to create in a room, something that previously could only be achieved with traditional lighting technologies.

Adjacent to Ledzworld’s labs an extremely sophisticated newly opened EMC testing facility opened its doors at the end of 2010.
This EMC testing facility  will receive global accreditation  during the next few months and will facilitate Ledzworld’s engineers to perform quick EMC testing on all its newly engineered products
