Giel Rutten – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Giel has worked in the semiconductor industry in Europe, the US and China for almost 25 years, and has a broad experience in engineering, manufacturing, product marketing and general management. He started his career at Philips and later NXP where, as a member of the executive management team, he was responsible for the business unit Home. Over the past years he worked as CEO of several medium-sized companies with the focus on organizational change, mergers and acquisitions. Giel holds a Master’s degree in Solid State Physics.

Jan Kemeling

Jan Kemeling – Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CMO)

Jan has a Bachelor’s degree in marketing management (The Hague, the Netherlands), and co-founded Ledzworld in December 2008. Jan has lived and worked in Asia since 1990. Jan co-founded and managed several companies in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia, and has a solid experience in the design and large-scale manufacturing and world-wide distribution of trendy products for the consumer electronics industry. In 2006, Jan was awarded the prestigious China Trader’s Award by the ambassador of China in the Netherlands as the most innovative Dutch company in China.

Ken Chakravarti

Ken Chakravarti – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Ken brings over 20 years of expertise in innovative product design development and design for manufacturability in start-up to multinational organizations.

Ken has orchestrated world-class programs in engineering, manufacturing and global operations. He is proficient in LED encapsulation process, development of switch-mode power circuit design, LED lamp assembly, micro opto-electronics packaging and wafer fabrication. Most recently, he has served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), OptiComp Corporation, Vice President of Operations at Lamina Lighting and Lighting Science Corporation. Ken has degrees in mechanical engineering and management.

Jan Arts

Jan Arts – Chief Procurement & Manufacturing Officer (CPMO)

Jan has a vast experience in manufacturing & procurement in large scale manufacturing operations in Europe and in Asia. His 35 years of manufacturing experience in multinational companies like Xerox, OCE, Flextronics is a very valuable asset to the Company. His skills in the fields of lean-manufacturing, strategic purchasing and complex component supply chains have contributed to Ledzworld’s reliability and to the quality of its LED lamps. Jan holds a Bachelors degree in electronics.
