Some of Ledzworld’s latest innovations were exhibited prominently at the Cree booth during the three day Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition 2013 from 8 -12 June 2013.
The AR-111 and MR16 GU10 both feature Cree’s latest COB Technology as well as Ledzworld’s Reduced Glare Optical Technology (RGOT) and are highly compatible with transformers and dimmers.

Ledzworld, a leading company in customized LED-technology solutions, today announced that Giel Rutten, CEO of the company, will leave Ledzworld effective June 6, 2013 for personal reasons.
On behalf of the board of directors, Chairman Leendert van Driel said “Giel has made significant contributions to the growth of Ledzworld in our strategic direction and we sincerely thank him for his service to Ledzworld over the past 3 and half years”.
Ken Chakravarti, Ledzworld’s CTO, has been appointed as the managing director and he will report directly to the chairman of Ledzworld.
Ken brings over 20 years of expertise in innovative product design development and maturing start-up organizations though merger and acquisitions. Ken played a major role in acquisitions of the two start-ups, Picolight (a transceiver designer and manufacturer in Colorado) with JDS Uniphase in 2007 and Lamina Lighting (an LED company in New Jersey) with Lighting Science Group Corporation in 2009.

Ledzworld and Ecogreen joined forces at this week’s LED Tech Conference.
Jan Kemeling, founder and CMO of Ledzworld and Christopher Lee, founder and MD of Ecogreen held a workshop yesterday about one of the most challenging subjects in the LED industry, “Electrical compatibility between LED lamps and control systems”
The event was organized during the LEDTEC Asia exhibition at Marina Bay in Singapore where Ecogreen exhibited its latest innovations to the professional audience (hospitality industry management, office and residential building owners, facility management and government representatives).
Ecogreen is a Singapore based technology company with global activities in the professional retrofit lighting business. Its premium products are positioned above the products of the leading lighting brands both in performance and in compatibility.
Says Christopher Lee; an LED lamp is not a stand-alone product. It needs to make a seamless electrical match with the connected control systems as well as a seamless thermal match with the fixtures used in professional applications.
An LED lamp can either result in significant cost savings or in huge disappointments when the lamps are failing because of compatibility issues.
Ecogreen’s premium LED retrofit lamps are the new standard in dimmability.
Not only do they dim linear from 100-0%, they also work on the majority of the commonly used dimming systems (leading & trailing edge, triac, digital dimmer-packs, bus-systems, etc.)

Ledzworld successfully introduced a number of industry-changing products & technologies to its key-ODM customers during the recent LFI in Philadelphia.
At its Philadelphia offices across from the convention center, Ledzworld organized preview meetings during which the latest technological inventions were demonstrated.

Penang, April 8, 2013 – Another innovative lamp from Ledzworld combines the ultra-dimmable capabilities of the perfect fit GU10 with the latest Reduced Glare Optical Technology (RGOT). This newly launched lamp is the most successful lamp ever for Ledzworld.
Not only does the lamp emit 50% more lumen than the perfect fit GU10 lamps of the benchmark competition, the lamp features a number of proprietary Ledzworld technologies that make it so unique.
The RGOT single focus diamond optics give these lamps the highly desired halogen touch and feel with a perfect beam control and minimized glare.

In our efforts to continuously improve product performance and efficacy, Ledzworld continues to research and develop every single part of our lamps from the light source, driver technology, compatibility and optics.
Ledzworld would like to introduce our latest in optical technology, the Reduced Glare Optical Technology (RGOT) series of lamps. We will be rolling out this optical technology to select high performance products over the year starting with our ultra-compatible Chameleon GU5.3 MR16.
The RGOT employs diamond cut lenses that are machined using high natural or synthetic diamond-tipped tool bits. Diamond cutting is used to achieve higher accuracy and precision finished surfaces such as on a Fresnel lens or the faceted surfaces of a lens or mirror.
RGOT brings about several benefits, as diamond cut surfaces disperses light into a broader spread; this reduces glare, stray light and hotspots. This innovative optical technology allows better control on beam angle of the lenses, which improves beam collimation and uniformity by improving the overall TIR – Total Internal Reflection concept.

All large customers of Ledzworld visited our booth where a few major innovations were presented.
Ledzworld’s Energy Star certification on all relevant high-specification products (MR16, Par20, Par30 and Par38) was well appreciated. These certifications are opening up the way for Ledzworld’s growing number of US- and Canada-based ODM customers to apply for substantial rebates from the US utilities.
